Bushido Support Services is a Community Interest Company — a form of company that exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders. Our work sits on both sides of financial services compliance: helping firms get it right, and helping individuals when it went wrong.
Our purpose is to give benefit to that community: helping people understand what happened to them, assembling the evidence of it, and — through our commercial work — reducing how often it happens in the first place. Every part of the business serves that aim, and our commercial engagements sustain the community work.
For financial services businesses, including blue-chip corporate clients, we act as an independent audit check on in-house compliance procedures. Firms rarely lack procedures — what they lack is an objective answer to whether the checks they perform are genuinely adequate in practice. We take a holistic view: not just mapping processes against the FCA rulebook, but examining how procedures interact, where responsibility actually sits, and how a process would stand up when a real customer outcome goes wrong. Building on that same expertise, we also design and develop business software for the financial services market, and bespoke, boutique software for legal services — delivered B2B, with compliant process and evidential discipline embedded in the design.
For individuals, we do the mirror-image work. Pensions, transfers, investments and insurance products come wrapped in terms most people are simply expected to accept. We read the documentation, explain it in plain English, and where a compliance question arises we help clients assemble the facts — documents gathered, timelines built, the applicable rules identified, everything set down in writing.
The two sides feed each other. Seeing what scams and unsuitable advice do to real people — and what regulators and ombudsmen examine afterwards — is exactly what makes our corporate audits sharp. Every adequate compliance procedure we help a firm build means fewer people joining the community we exist to serve.
What we deliberately do not do: we do not give financial advice, we do not recommend or arrange financial products, and we do not tell anyone what to do with their money. Where a decision about a product is needed, we signpost clients to appropriately authorised advisers.
